The Scottish Borders Campus in Galashiels is 38 miles south of Edinburgh, right at the very heart of the Borders. Historically the town's prosperity was founded in the textile industry. The Campus is home to the School of Textiles and Design and also runs a number of courses from the School of Management and Languages. The Campus is well serviced with excellent integrated learning facilities, computer suites, including CAD/CAM studios, specialised workshops, spacious studios for weave, knit, print and apparel, library, careers service, student support service and a Gallery with regularly changing exhibitions from local and national artists.
The Scottish Borders Campus at Galashiels is just an hour's drive from Edinburgh and a regular bus service operates to the town. There are three international airports within one to two hours travel: Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. The Scottish Borders Campus is home to the School of Textiles and Design and facilities include bright and airy studios, workshops and well-equipped chemistry laboratories. It also runs number of courses from the School of Management and Languages.

The best known feature of the town is the impressive war memorial with its massive Border Reiver horseman - the work of local sculptor Thomas Clapperton. Old Gala House, home of the Lairds of Gala for several centuries, is now a museum and art gallery set in landscaped gardens and is the venue for our Borders Campus graduation reception every year.
