RSS Web Feeds

Heriot-Watt provides a number of free web feeds enabling you to keep up to date with the latest University news and events. Content is distributed by RSS, an XML-based format, so you can get the latest headlines as soon as they are published on our website. Instead of visiting the website to browse for new articles and features, RSS automatically tells you when something new has been posted online.

How to use our RSS Web Feeds
The first thing you will need is an RSS news reader or aggregator. This can be a downloadable application that you install, a web-based service, or a particular browser. A list of available readers can be found at:

Browsers
Setting up a feed differs from one aggregator to another, but it usually involves copying the URL of the feed (right-click on the RSS icon or copy from the address bar on your browser) and pasting it into the reader.
