The Finance Committee reviews the financial implications of the Strategic Plan, and the resulting annual budgets, which it presents to the Court. The Committee monitors financial outturn against budgets during the course of the year, and oversees management action to ensure they are met. In addition to ensuring that the University applies best practice to the finance function, and complies with the stipulations of the Funding Council, the Committee advises on appropriate performance measures and benchmarking comparators. The Committee presents the University's Annual Financial Report to the Court for approval prior to publication.

The Infrastructure Board - or IB - is a Board of PME. Its remit is to ensure the effective delivery of support services throughout the University, develop and implement integrated systems and procedures and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and delivery of the provisions.
The IS/IT Policy Group is the forum for discussion and decision making on strategic IS/IT issues, and the prioritisation and resourcing of projects. It is integral to the senior management structure of the Planning & Management Executive, with whom it works very closely through its Chair, the Director of Finance and IS/IT.
The IS/IT Service Providers Sub-Group develops the IS/IT Strategy, with the approval from the Policy Group, and ensure that it remains consistent with the University's aims and objectives. The Group's remit includes IS/IT performance monitoring, co-ordinating IS/IT activities in the University and monitoring technical developments of interest and reporting to the IS/IT Policy Group.
The Joint Military Education Committee is formally established under the auspices of the National Council of Military Education Committees. Its purpose is to monitor the activities and functioning of the University Service Units (Officers' Training Corps and University Air Squadron) and to provide a liaison function between these units, the four universities in Edinburgh, and the reserve and regular Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force.
The Committee is responsible for negotiation and consultation between the University and the University and College Union on issues regarding all aspects of terms and conditions of employment.
The Learning and Teaching Board develops and implements the University's Learning and Teaching Strategy in consultation with Schools, Support Services and the Students Association, and to monitor, evaluate and review the strategy and its implementation. The Board is responsible, on behalf of the University, for responding to and engaging with national developments in learning and teaching. The Board reports to the Planning and Management Executive.
The Library Committee is responsible for general library policy and advises the Senate and the Librarian thereon as appropriate. The Committee scrutinises and makes observations on the annual budget estimates. It informs the Senate on the administration of the Library.
