The School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS), provides advanced learning in the core skills required for science, technology and commerce. Students can study specialist modules that prepare them for careers in finance and the actuarial profession, artificial intelligence, and multimedia systems. Research has been independently assessed as being of international or national excellence whilst the School's master's courses attract students from across the globe. The UICS Training Programme supports all University staff and students who use the computing systems. Workshops and tutorials are provided for staff, helping you appreciate the potential of your software or focus on a specific feature of your software that interests you. Induction sessions and a program of IT Skills Workshops are available for students. Training can be tailored to meet your specific needs and objectives.
The School of Engineering and Physical Sciences embraces the subjects of Chemistry, Physics, Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The School offers undergraduate courses in all of these subjects individually and with a range of specialist options, as well as innovative interdisciplinary courses bringing together specialisations from different subjects.
