The School of the Built Environment offers a range of educational opportunities spanning the diverse range of professions involved in the planning, design, construction and development of our built environment and infrastructure. It offers students entry into a vitally important range of professions that will prove stimulating and offer ample opportunity for career development. The flexibility of the undergraduate courses offered by the School of Management and Languages reflects the importance placed upon student choice. Our courses are taught on a modular basis, thus enabling students to make the study choices most suited to their future career paths. Degree programmes are offered in a broad range of subjects including accounting, finance, economics, interpreting and translating, applied languages and translating, teaching of English as a foreign language or second language, and management. Within management there are opportunities to specialise in areas such as marketing, business law, human resources management, and operations management.
The School of Textiles and Design offers a unique array of undergraduate courses in fashion design, clothing design and manufacture, design management and design for textiles including interior and art, which match the needs of the global and increasingly hi-tech textile and fashion industries.
