The accommodation service allocates places on campus. There are approximately 4,500 students studying at Heriot-Watt's Edinburgh campus and just over 1800 residential places are available. The majority of these places are allocated to new students. HW-ResNet provides every student bedroom on the Edinburgh Campus with an 'always on', high-performance, network connection offering Internet, email and access to your NetStorage area on the PC Caledonia network. Every room also has a telephone with a pre-paid billing service which can be used to make and receive calls on and off campus.
